Aha... i just bought a 360 also. Here's some of my reviews: Dead Space: Hands down the scariest game I have ever played. Third person gore shooter with creepy sounds and pretty devastating monsters? **** yea. The graphics are amazing, it has a great story line, and the atmosphere is simply horrifying. Sometimes i'm at work and I see a necromorph in the corner of my eye only to turn and look and realize this game has made me insane. CoD4: I'm sure there are millions of reviews out there... but here's mine. Decent shooter. Pretty epic when the nuke goes off (sorry for the spoiler warning), and some pretty damn good graphics. One thing I did not like was playing through it on veteran. Just 1000'd it the other day, in fact. The very last mission (MHC) is extremely hard and took me maybe 30 tries. Fable II: Hands down the best dialogue I have ever seen in a game. If you actually listen to what the characters are saying and appreciate the humor, you'll be laughing the whole way through the game. Not a bad storyline, and the chance to variate and control the environment through actions gives it a unique flavor. Not many games can achieve status like this. Bad thing about Fable II- 2 or so of the achievements require Xbox live. Single player RPG's should not have online achievements. Halo 3 ODST: I was never a fan of halo, but tolerated it. This game made me want to barf. Not only was it exactly like Halo 3 (not minding the change of scenery and the annoying red screen when you are shot), but attempting to put cheesey dialouge to make a "story" just pissed me off. If you're going to try and expand on a previous trilogy, at least do a decent job at it. One thing I do give this game though is that firefight is a pretty good mode. Kingdom Under Fire Circle of Doom: I played some of the older Kingdom Under Fires and enjoyed them. Alot. The militaristic squad based combat system with somewhat of a dynasty warriors tinge made the previous KUF games all worthwhile. Take away the militaristic squad based combat system with missions and you get KUF- Circle of Doom. All in all... it's not a TERRIBLE game.... it just makes me feel like a chinese farmer. Dark Messiah of Might and Magic: Actually played through this on the PC before. Excellent game, as always. It was nice to run through this game on the 360 and see they actually switched up the environment- alot. Great combat system. Only thing I was dissapointed about was that a good bit of the achievements are online achievements. |
